About Alana

Alana started her career as a nurse before moving into the Disability sector and pivoting into Psychology. While obtaining her qualifications she worked in a Psychology practice where she was responsible for the smooth running of administration and communications, and ensuring policies were current and adhered to. Alana has been working for the Department of Education for the past 3 years where she has developed strong skills in the assessment of cognitive ability and developmental and learning delays. She is experienced in working with Neurodivergent young people and takes a strengths based and neuro affirming approach to her work. She is particularly interested in Autism and ADHD and continues to hone her assessment skills in these areas.

Alana has a passion for supporting adolescents and young adults to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and to develop strategies to support their unique psychological and emotional needs.

Alana provides a friendly, safe and collaborative space for children and their

Parents and she prides herself on making practical, child centred recommendations following her assessments.

Alana is available for assessments on Wednesdays.
